COVID-19 (coronavirus)
This is a discussion sponsored by the Health Law & Policy Institute of the University of Houston Law Center involving medical and legal issues that will arise in the event of a significant outbreak of COVID-19. This interdisciplinary Webinar will feature experts in medicine (epidemiology and virology), law (including employment law), and public health. As preparation for this Webinar, attendees may wish to download a "Benchbook" updated by the Health Law & Policy Institute (http://www.law.uh.edu/healthlaw/HLPIBenchBook.pdf) providing practical guidance to public health authorities and the judiciary on personal control measures such as isolation and quarantine. The Webinar is intended to be accessible to persons without a science and/or strong legal background and should be of help to the public generally.
